‘Does It Make Sense to Ask Nigerians to Forgive People Who Have Killed Innocent Nigerian? Reno Omokri

On Monday, August 9, 2021, 1,081 terrorists including some senior commanders and their families surrendered to the troops of Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK). The 1,081 terrorists who surrender included the Boko Haram and Islamic State of West Africa Province Terrorists in the North East, the Chief Bomb Expert of the terrorist group known as Musa Adamu  a.K.a Mala Musa Abuja, and his second in command Usman Adamu a.k.a Abu Darda along with their families and followers. This was confirmed in a statement on Monday by the Director, Army Public Relations, Brig Gen Onyema Nwachukwu

Bemigho Reno Omokri, the former aide to former President Goodluck Jonathan, who has become one of the main opposition voices in Nigeria reacted to this and questioned the rationale behind the decision of the Nigerian government to pardon another 1,081 Boko Haram terrorists whilst prosecuting Sunday Igboho and Nnamdi Kanu. As he questioned the sanity behind prosecuting freedom fighters who were protecting Nigerian citizens and rather being sympathetic with terrorists who maim and kill the innocent citizens of Nigeria.

He shared his opinion on his social media platform and accompanied the post with a photo of the acclaimed repentant Boko Haram members with a placard bearing the inscription ‘Nigeria Please Forgive Us’

According to Reno Omokri, “The Buhari administration shared photos of so-called repentant Boko Haram terrorists and asked Nigerians to forgive them. Does it make sense to ask Nigerians to forgive people who have killed innocent Nigerians when the Buhari government wants to prosecute Sunday Igboho for protecting the same innocent Nigerians? Why should we forgive killers and prosecute defenders? Is it because these killers are Northern Muslims like Buhari and Igboho is not? I am not understanding! How many people has Buhari himself forgiven? Has he forgiven Dasuki? Buhari that killed innocent peaceful #EndSARS protesters at #LekkiMassacre? They even bought provisions and drinks for them. Imagine! In fact, I doubt that that sign was written by these mostly illiterate Boko Haramists. Forgive who? Tufiakwa!”
